Lumin is developed by Andrew Kittridge, the sole proprietor. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Lumin mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 User-Generated Content

We collect the content you choose to create or send in the App, including chat messages, prayer entries, journal entries, sermon notes, Bible study notes, saved Scripture, and related reflections.

Purpose: This data is used to provide core app functionality, including AI-powered Christian conversations, Bible study assistance, prayer journaling, sermon summaries, and personal spiritual practice history.

1.2 Account, Authentication, and Device Data

We collect account and authentication data needed to operate your account, including identifiers from Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, email sign-in, or guest access. We may also collect app version, device type, push notification tokens, and limited device identifiers needed for app functionality and attribution.

Purpose: This information is used for authentication, data synchronization, account support, notifications, subscription access, and basic service reliability.

1.3 App Usage, Analytics, and Attribution Data

We collect app interaction events such as onboarding progress, first Ask activity, AI response completion, paywall views, subscription events, prayer entries saved, Scripture engagement, and app opens.

We use Firebase Analytics for product analytics and AppsFlyer for install attribution and campaign measurement. If you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, AppsFlyer may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). If you do not allow tracking, attribution may rely on limited or privacy-preserving signals such as SKAdNetwork.

Purpose: This information helps us understand app reliability, improve onboarding and core features, measure advertising performance, and support subscription analytics. We do not sell your personal data or show third-party ads inside the App.

1.4 Sign In with Apple Data

If you choose to sign in with Apple, we may receive your email address and name only if you choose to share them. You may choose to hide your email through Apple.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide AI-powered Christian conversations, Bible study assistance, prayer support, and sermon tools
• Store and synchronize your conversations, prayer entries, journal entries, notes, saved Scripture, and account state
• Authenticate your account and maintain your session
• Deliver daily inspiration, reminders, and notifications with your permission
• Manage subscription access, trials, billing status, and premium usage limits
• Measure app install attribution, campaign effectiveness, activation, paywall performance, and feature reliability
• Improve app quality, security, and user experience

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

3.1 Grok API (x.ai)

To provide AI-powered responses, we share the messages, recent conversation context, and any image you choose to attach for that request with Grok API operated by x.ai.

3.2 Google Firebase

We use Firebase services to operate core app features, including Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, and Analytics.

• Purpose: Authentication, secure data storage, AI proxy functions, notifications, analytics, and service reliability

3.3 AppsFlyer and Apple Attribution Services

We use AppsFlyer and Apple attribution services, including SKAdNetwork where available, to measure install attribution and campaign performance.

3.4 Apple Services

We use Apple services for App Store subscriptions, push notification delivery, system authentication, and platform features such as App Tracking Transparency.

3.5 No Sale of Personal Data

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your personal prayer, journal, chat, or Bible study content for third-party advertising.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Storage Locations

• Firebase: Account, app content, subscription state, and feature data may be stored in Firebase-managed infrastructure.
• Local Device: Authentication state, preferences, drafts, cached content, and app settings may be stored locally on your device.
• Third-Party Processors: Limited analytics, attribution, and AI request data may be processed by Firebase, AppsFlyer, Apple, and x.ai as described above.

4.2 Security Measures

• All network communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Access controls are used for authenticated app data
• Biometric authentication, if used, is handled by iOS; we do not store biometric data
• API keys and sensitive credentials are stored securely and are not exposed in the App

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can delete your account and associated data through the App's account settings.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following choices regarding your data:

• Access: You can access much of your app data through the App.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and associated data through the App's account settings.
• Notifications: You can disable push notifications in your device settings.
• Tracking Choice: You can allow or deny tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and change that preference in iOS Settings.
• Personalization: Where available, you can manage personalization choices inside the App.

7. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Family features, such as Kids Daily Verse, are intended for parents and guardians to use and share under their supervision. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Data Tracking

We use Firebase Analytics and AppsFlyer to measure app usage, reliability, install attribution, campaign performance, and subscription funnel performance. If you allow tracking, your IDFA may be used for attribution. If you deny tracking, attribution is limited and may rely on privacy-preserving signals such as SKAdNetwork.

We do not show third-party ads inside the App, and we do not sell your personal data.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date when changes are made. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
